General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Notice
The new GDPR law comes into effect on 25th May, 2018 when many will benefit from the added privacy protection this law will afford. As part of this new GDPR legislation, anyone who receives emailed correspondence must agree to this.
Allied Traders Ltd have collected your information to operate and deliver the services you have requested. Your information is additionally used to provide customer support and to arrange any deliveries we make.
Currently to be able to service your needs we hold contact details for you in the form of your name, address, contact telephone number/s and email address. This information is only used and will continue to only be used to send standard emails, such as order queries and acknowledgement where relevant, invoices, statements and occasional emails/mail shots from our marketing department of new products and/or special offers that are relevant to you.
Your data is only used by Allied Traders Ltd and is not passed on to any third party. We do not and would never sell, rent or lease our customer lists to third parties. The only exception to this would be to disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal process served on Allied Traders Ltd or our site, to protect and defend the rights of property of Allied Traders Ltd or to act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Allied Traders Ltd or the public.
Any unused customer account is archived during the second year from our computer records with any relevant data associated with those customer accounts being stored in our archives for the purposes of retaining documents needed by law to support taxation and other such documentation. Our records are regularly reviewed and destroyed as soon as they are no longer needed to be retained as part of such compliance.
By using cookies we provide a convenience feature on our websites to save you time by telling the web server that you have returned to a specific page and a cookie helps Allied Traders Ltd to recall your specific information on subsequent visits, which in turn simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses and such like. This enables the information you have previously provided to be retrieved so you can easily use the features that you personalise or customise.
Of course you have the ability to accept or decline our cookies, usually by simply modifying your browser setting to decline cookies should that be your preference. However to comply under the new regulations, we do require you to give your consent for us to continue holding your data as of the 25th May, 2018.
Currently all our customers have already had to opt in for receipt of any marketing material including newsletters and our customer loyalty programmes where applicable. If however this is no longer your preference, we request that you send us an email with UNSUBSCRIBE as the subject and we will do the rest to ensure that you are removed form the Loyalty and/or marketing options of your account.
